Utah – 25 Goldback

The refreshed Utah 25 Goldback features Disciplina, the virtue of discipline. She is depicted as a seasoned snowboarder catching air above the snow-covered slopes of Park City, Utah. The scene honors Park City’s role as a major venue for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Today, Utah is still celebrated for its world-class winter sports and Park City remains a hub for elite training.

Disciplina represents the focused training and dedication of Utah’s Olympic athletes. She launches through the sky with perfect form, a determined expression set upon her face. Her jacket is embroidered with the Olympic torch, and the bottom of her board proudly displays the Utah beehive.

Hidden UV artwork reveals a snowy owl soaring beneath her, reflecting her endurance and the profound transformation required to achieve athletic excellence. Farther back along the treeline, the UV ink brings a yeti into view, treading through the deep snow.

Disciplina demonstrates the commitment, structure, and persistence required of athletes who push themselves to reach peak performance. Inscribed is the enduring principle: “Press toward the mark.” — Philippians 3:14
